Such a Fun Age

Join the Senior Pride Book Club in July to discuss Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid (recommended by Sue Pennington).

Alix is a privileged white mom; Emira is her twenty-something black babysitter. Emira is accused by a stranger of kidnapping Alix’s toddler. This event triggers the story of Such A Fun Age by Kiley Reid, her first novel.Although not autobiographical, her own experiences inform her story “of how race and class interact in transactional relationships, and what it means to sell emotional labor.”
