LGBTQI+ Grief Support Group

Sponsored by Senior Pride and Soreo Hospice.
Soreo held this group for one year but participation was very low.
We welcome your feedback.

LBTQ Women’s Grief Group

Weekly drop-in support group (free) for Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer women 18 years of age and older who are looking for an accepting space in which to share their loss. A facilitated, peer support group.

Elder Circles:
The Wisdom Journey for LGBTQI Elders

Elder Circles are facilitated discussion groups that meet once a month on a drop-in basis to discuss important topics and share stories. Each Elder Circle focuses on one of four components: life review, life repair, what is my contribution and mentoring. The facilitator is trained and culturally responsive. Sponsored by Center for Community Dialogue.

Weekly group at the UA Cancer Center for patients who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. Group is not limited to Cancer Center patients. It is available to the community. Family and friends are welcome. The group includes support people.

PCOA LGBT-WELCOMING Caregiver Support Group

Pima Council on Aging (PCOA) offers an LGBT-welcoming caregiver support group, which is open to anyone providing care for a person 60 and older, or for someone who has Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia of any age.

PCOA Medicare Open Enrollment Presentations and Individual Assistance

Poz Café Lunch Program

TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network) offers Poz Café, a monthly lunch for people living with HIV. Poz Cafe is an opportunity for you to get out of the house, take a break, meet other positive people, and enjoy great food! On the third Thursday of each month from 11:30am to 1:30pm, volunteers from local faith communities provide a fantastic, delicious and nutritious lunch. This is followed by time to “hang out,” chat, participate in a game or two of bingo, enjoy our raffle of fun and useful gifts, and receive a CarePackage.

People living with HIV and one guest (18 or older) are invited. All attending the café are asked to honor the highest standard of confidentiality. To attend Poz Café, please RSVP by the Monday before the lunch by contacting a Link Specialist volunteer by email or 520-299-6647 (ext. 205). Limited transportation is also available for this event. POZ Café Breakfast Program

TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network) had been offering vouchers to individuals living with HIV/AIDS (who are also registered with TIHAN) for a free breakfast once a month, courtesy of Mother Hubbard’s Cafe. However, Mother Hubbard’s Cafe has CLOSED. TIHAN is currently seeking a new partner to take on this program.

Rainbow Reads: A New Queer Book Chat and Book Club

The Pima County Public Library LGBT Services Committee has launched a new book chat/book club!  Come be a part of this positively queer reading circle! Readers across the gender and sexuality spectrum are welcome to attend and engage in fun, respectful dialogue.
